What must a padel watch screen show?
A watch screen is small, so it must show only what the players need between two points.

How do you record a point without a mistake?
- Choose one scorekeeper. One player records every point of the match. Two scorekeepers can record the same point twice.
- Record the point when the rally ends. Do it before the players talk about the point, and before the next serve.
- Call the score aloud. The serving team calls its own score first. The other team corrects a wrong call at once.
- Correct a mistake at once. A wrong point is easy to fix before the next serve. Three games later, it causes a dispute.
- Dry the screen. Sweat and rain on a touch screen can cause a wrong tap. Wipe the screen and your finger before you tap.
Apple Watch, Wear OS watches, Huawei Watch and Amazfit watches have touch screens. Many Garmin and Suunto watches have physical buttons, and some also have a touch screen. A button works with wet fingers.
Does a smartwatch need a phone to keep the score?
That depends on the watch and on the app. Some watch apps only show the score that a phone keeps. Other watch apps keep the score on their own.

What does PadelArc do on the Apple Watch?
The PadelArc Apple Watch app does more than copy the phone screen.
- The large scores fill the screen, and the watch names the server.

- A set table shows the games that each team won in set 1, set 2 and set 3.

Can a watch record the workout during padel?
Many smartwatches have a workout mode that records your heart rate during a match. A workout is separate from the score, so a match needs no workout.
On the Apple Watch, the PadelArc workout is optional. It shows your heart rate and your active energy during the match, and it needs Apple Health permission. The workout data never leaves the watch.
